One of my favourites is back. For the longest time, Sasha Pivovarova has been a permanent fixture in Prada campaigns and has returned at the influential brand's campaign for Resort 13. The elf like Russian with strikingly sharp features and relatively short stature (5'8/5'7-ish) first walked for Prada's F/W 05 show where she opened and consequently fronted the accompanying campaign. For 7 seasons (a rarity) she was an exclusive for Prada (who has a record for making careers) and fronted a dozen ads. Truly, this is what model dreams are made of.
In 2008, Pivovarova was finally succeeded by Linda Evangelista for Prada's F/W 08 campaign. After her unprecedented stint, Pivovarova continued to be arguably one of the best (I mean, THE BEST) editorial model and moved on to nab high profile campaigns most notably Armani, H&M, and Biotherm. In 2009, Pivovarova got married and gave birth to her first child in 2012. After a hiatus from the fashion industry, she is marking her come back returning to where it all started, Prada.
